Malawi National Council of Sports
The Malawi Academy for Sports provides young athletes with professional training, guidance, and opportunities to develop their talents across various sports. Its mission is to nurture disciplined, skilled, and competitive athletes capable of representing Malawi at both national and international levels.
The Malawi Academy for Sports is an initiative established by the Malawi National Council of Sports to promote the development of sports in the country, particularly at the grassroots level. The Academy targets youth under the age of 18.
Currently, the program operates in three centers: Blantyre Youth Centre in the Southern Region, Kamuzu Institute for Sport in the Central Region, and Katoto Ground in the Northern Region. More than 600 young athletes aged between six and 18 are actively participating in the program.
To nurture disciplined, skilled, and competitive athletes, including those with disabilities, in an inclusive environment where everyone can represent Malawi nationally and internationally.

Coach Harry Mulumbe is a highly dedicated and experienced football coach, passionate about nurturing talent and helping athletes reach their full potential. With a strong commitment to personal development, safety, and ethical coaching, he inspires his players to excel both on and off the field.

Stella Peter is a committed and impressive athletics coach at the Malawi Academy for Sports. She plays a key role in developing young athletes through structured training, discipline, and performance-focused coaching while ensuring athlete safety at all times.

Coach Kelvin Koadza is a passionate and committed basketball coach with a deep love for the game. He is dedicated to helping athletes develop their skills, improve teamwork, and reach their full potential both on and off the court, creating a positive and motivating environment for players of all ages.

Achievements: Finished 3rd position at the Malawi Athletics Regional Cross Country Competition held at Atsikana Paulendo Schools.
Honest Howahowa, an athletics athlete from the Malawi Academy for Sports, produced an impressive performance at the Regional Cross Country Competition organized under Malawi Athletics, securing a third-place finish and demonstrating strong endurance, discipline, and competitive determination.
Kelvin Mwase is a young and promising student BasketBall at the Malawi Academy for Sports. He is developing strong athletic skills through structured training and discipline, showing great potential for future competitions.
